A leisure/travel organisation in Sussex managing numerous concurrent IT projects decided to review PPM offerings on which to retrench its PMO capability.  After an extensive review period, the Clarizen PPM product was selected.   The decision was primarily based on the confidence gained from reference site interviews and independent customer feedback.   

 

The approach taken was very progressive with clear phased objectives, commencing with full project cost reporting.  Go live and cutover was achieved in 13 weeks.  As internal skills grew, further automation with JIRA was enabled.  The strong Clarizen reporting capabilities on the interfaced data also served to support JIRA operations, and enable each tool to be used for its respective strengths.

The implementation was supported effectively by the Clarizen support services,

whilst encouraging customer self sufficiency.

Several months on, 45+ capabilities have been implemented across all aspects of PMO activity, including resource management, operational support, budget control and executive oversight, time tracking multi-dimensional budgets, operational gate controls and others.

​

The executive concluded that Clarizen had delivered what had been long awaited from other products and had significantly exceeded its target return on investment.
